Chyawan-Vit [Sugar Free]: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Chyawan-Vit is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine in paste/jam/leha form manufactured by Baidyanath Pharmaceuticals. Chyawan-Vit is the only available sugar-free Chyavanaprash. It is prepared by Amla and 51 potent herbs and plant extracts. 

Amla is a rich source of natural vitamin C, minerals and potent herbal nutrients essential to boost immunity and metabolic activity.

It is specially prepared to give the benefits of Chyavanaprash to diabetic patients and those who want to avoid sugar. Diabetes affects major body organs heart, lung, liver, kidney, brain and skin. Go ghrita [Cow’s ghee] – 5 g
Bilva [Aegle marmelos] – 0.4 g
Agnimantha [Premna integrifolia] – 0.4 g
Shyonaka [Oroxylum indicum] – 0.4 g
Kashmari [Gmelina arborea] – 0.4 g
Patala [Stereospermum suaveolens] – 0.4 g
Bala [Sida cordifolia] – 0.4 g
Shalaparni [Desmodeum gangeticum] – 0.4 g
Prishnaparni [Uraria picta] – 0.4 g
Mashaparni [Teramnus labialis] – 0.4 g
Gokshura [Tribulus terrestris] – 0.4 g
Bruhati [Solanum indicum] – 0.4 g
Kantakari [Solanum xanthocarpum] – 0.4 g

Dose

Dosage of Chyawan-Vit:
2 tsp morning and evening with milk, or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
It can be safely used for a period of 2 – 3 months time, with gradual decrease in dosage.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
