Vanasuranadi Leham Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Vanasuranadi Leham is used for the treatment of Piles and Allied indigestion, Loss of appetite, Pallor and Indolence. It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal. Vanasuranadi Leham is a herbal jam/paste formulation.

Pallor and
Indolence.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Vanasuranadi Leham:
Vanasuranakanda (Amorphophallus campanulatus) – 6.410g
Takra (Buttermilk) – 3.077 ml
Sarpi (Ghee) – 2.051ml
Guda (Jaggery) – 6.410g
Chitraka (Plumbago zeylanica) – 0.513g
Nagara (Zingiber officinale) – 0.128g
Maricha (Piper nigrum) – 0.064g
Makshika (Honey) – 1.026ml

Dose

Dosage of Vanasuranadi Leham:
5-20 g, twice daily, before or after meals or as directed by the physician

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Precautions

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.

    I am told that Amorphophallus campanulatus contains huge amount of vitamin c. Can vanasuranadi lehyam be used as a an anti aging medicine-Rejuvenator?
