Pitaka Churnam is an Ayurvedic herbal powder medicine, used in the treatment of stomatitis, gingivitis, pharyngitis and oral disorders.

Uses

Uses of Pitaka Churnam:
Used for application and gargle in stomatitis, gingivitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and dental diseases along with honey and ghee.
Used for application in oral cavity and throat related complaints.

Action

Roga karma- danta, mukha, gala rogas Healing – Ropana
Scraping – Lekhana
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Kapha Dosha.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Pitaka Curnam:
Daruharidra (Berberis aristata)- 1 part
Saindhava (Rock salt)- 1 part
Manashila (Realger)- 1 part
Yavakshara (Alkali of Horddeum vulgare)- 1 part
Haratala (Orpiment)- 1 part

Above ingredients are powdered separately and mixed together in specified quantity.

Direction for use

Direction for use of Pitaka Churnam:
Application over the wounds and sores in mouth mixing with honey or ghee.
Gargling.

Shelf life, side effects

Shelf life: 2 years from the date of manufacture. Once opened, it should be used within 2-4 months.

Because it contains Haratala, this medicine should only be used under strict medical supervision.
It is best to avoid this medicine during pregnancy and lactation and in children.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
