Nimbamritasavam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side Effects

Nimbamritasavam is a liquid Ayurvedic medicine used for the treatment of skin diseases, non healing wounds, gout etc. It contains about 5 – 7 % of self generated natural alcohol in it. This self generated alcohol and the water present in the product acts as a media to deliver water and alcohol soluble the active herbal components to the body.

Uses

Uses of Nimbamritasava:
It is a natural blood detoxifying medicine.
It has anti inflammatory and anti microbial properties.
Used in the treatment of gout, rheumatoid arthritis,
Skin diseases such as eczema, allergic dermatitis, psoriasis,
non healing wounds, abscess, sinuses.
Allergic rhinitis, high fever
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains

Nidigdhika – Solanum surrattense0.044 g

Shloka, Sanskrit Verse

Dose, duration of use

Dosage of Nimbamritasav
12-24 ml with equal quantity of warm water, once or twice a day, after food. Or as directed by the physician.
For children below 5 years of age, dose is 3 – 5 ml, mixed with 10 ml of water, once or twice a day, after food or as directed by doctor.
For children between 5 – 12 years of age, dose is 5-10 ml, once or twice a day, mixed with 10 ml of water, after food or as directed by doctor.

How long to use?
Based on doctor’s prescription, this medicine can be used for 2 – 3 months time.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects, precautions

Nimbamritasavam side effects:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
Seek doctor’s advice for its use during pregnancy.
It can be administered for lactating mother, in lower doses.
Over-dosage may cause gastritis symptoms.

Storage, shelf life

Storage:
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Shelf life: 10 years from the date of manufacture.
