Nimbaharidradi churnam is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal powder form, used for the treatment of skin disorders such as eczema, scabies, allergic dermatitis etc.
Uses
Uses of Nimbaharidradi Churnam:
Useful in eczema, erysipelas, scabies, dermatitis, diabetic carbuncle, pruritis, psoriasis, sinus, non healing wounds and insect bites.
Also useful in herpes.
Actions
Roga karma- Kandu, pitaka, kota, kusta, shotha.
Dosha karma- Effect on Tridosha – Balances Kapha and Pitta Dosha.

Nimbapatra (Azadirachta indica)- 1 part
Haridra (Curcuma longa)- 1 part
Daruharidra (Berberis aristata)- 1 part
Tulasi[Suras] (Osimum sanctum)- 1 part
Patola (Trichosanthes dioica)- 1 part
Kusta (Sausurrea lappa)- 1 part
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)- 1 part
Devadaru (Cedrus deodara)- 1 part
Shigru (Moringa oleifera)- 1 part
Sweta sarshapa (Brassica campestris) – – 1 part
Thumburudanya[Thejabala] (Zanthoxylum limonella)- 1 part
Vanya[Musta] (Cyperus rotendus)- 1 part
Chanda[Chora pushpi] (Chrysopogon aciculatus)- 1 part
Dose, shelf life
Dosage of Nimbaharidradi Choornam:
This product is meant for external application.
Powder mixed with buttermilk and applied over the affected part, or as directed by the physician.
Shelf life: 2 years from the date of manufacture. Once opened, it should be used within 2-4 months.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
