Lohasinduram: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side Effects

Lohasinduram is a powder or clax formulation made from iron. It is used for the treatment of anemia, splenomegaly, helminthiasis, vomiting, asthma, etc. The number of times involved in its purification process could be- 7, 14, 21 or 101 times. It is available in capsule form. 
More the number of purification process, better will be the product.

Uses

Uses of Lohasinduram:
It is nourishing, sweet, sour and bitter in effect.
It is coolant in nature and heavy to digest.
It has scraping quality, hence useful in cardiovascular diseases.
It improves strength, immunity, skin texture, memory, intelligence, digestive power and acts as natural aphrodisiac.
This is exceptionally efficacious in anemia, pallor, pitta troubles and jaundice.
Overcomes gulma, colic and purifies blood and corrects all its disorders.
Its regular users are not liable to get diabetes.
This is excellent in adiposity, but does not constipate, nor otherwise upset the abdominal system like other common medicines with iron content.
Useful in eye disorders, splenomegaly, helminthiasis, vomiting, asthma, bronchitis, herpes, chronic respiratory disorders, liver disorders, piles, fistula, muscle wasting, dizziness, delusion.

Doctors also prescribe this medicine for the treatment of
Hair fall, less hair growth, split hairs, rough hair.
For male pattern boldness and alopecia.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Lohasinduram:
Ferric oxide.

Dose

Dosage of Lohasindhuram 
125-250 mg, once or twice a day, before or after food. Or as directed by the physician.
According to the number of purity the dose may be reduced.
Adjuvant- sugar, honey, ghee, milk or buttermilk.
How long to use?
This is usually advised for a period of 1 – 2 months time.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects of Lohasinduram
This medicine should only be taken under strict medical supervision.
Self medication with this medicine may prove to be dangerous.
Over-dosage may cause severe side effects and gastritis.
Take this medicine in precise dose and for limited period of time, as advised by doctor.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a dry cool place.

  1. Which brand is good, also bhasma or capsule which is effective.
    Can we have bhasma with betel leaf & honey in the morning and night…
