Kadaliphaladi Tailam is an Ayurvedic herbal oil, used for the treatment of headache, migraine and insomnia. It is manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal.

Application on feet

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thoroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.
Ingredients
Ingredients of Kadaliphaladi Tailam:
Tila taila (Sesame oil)
Kadali pushpa (Banana flower)
Direction for use
Direction for use of Kadaliphaladi Thailam:
Slightly warm the oil and apply on head and neck area. Be careful not to get it near the eyes. Leave on for 1 hour before taking bath for best results.
It can be used daily or at least twice a week.
How to wash off the
hair oil?
Wait for at least 30 minutes
before washing hair. Longer the delay, better (except for very oily hairs). It
is best to use herbal hair wash powders to wash off the hair oil. One or two
rounds of wash with hair wash powder will get rid off oil from hair. It is very
fine, even if some amount of oiliness remains on the hair.
Traditional treatises mention cold water to wash hair and face. (Reference:
Ashtanga Sangraha, Sutrasthana, Dinacharya chapter). But to wash oily hair,
lukewarm water can also be used. Avoid very hot water for hair wash.
Shelf life, side effects, package
Shelf life of Kadaliphaladi Tailam:
3 years from the date of manufacture.
Side effects:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
Avoid moisture contact or exposure to the oil.
Store in a cool dry place.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Presentation:Bottle of 200 ml.
During pregnancy, lactation
If
you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can
continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy,
better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare
cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult
your doctor for the right advice.
Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
Habit forming
Is
this medicine habit forming? Does it create dependence? Can we stop it after a
few months of usage?
This
medicine is not habit forming. After using for the prescribed period, your
doctor would gradually decrease the dose and eventually stop it. Follow your
doctor’s instructions for gradual decrease of dose and stopping. Usually it
does not cause any ill effects.

My Ayurvedic doctor here prescribed this oil for hail loss and dandruff. Will it serve that purpose too?
I have migraine and sinusitis and was not able to use any oil for head. As per his advice I was using marichadi tailam for past 2 years. But i have severe hair loss as my scalp is dry. So this time i was prescribed with this oil and he told it is good for sinusitis also. But after using for 2 or 3 times I feel like it aggravates sinusitis as I got facial pain and head ache the next day.
Kindly advice on whether I can continue this and is this helpful in hair loss, dandruff and sinusitis too?
