Cheriya Chinchadi Leham Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side Effects

Cheriya Chinchadi Leham is a herbal preparation in paste/jam form. It is used for the treatment of liver disorders, janudice, anemia etc. also known as Cheriya Chinchadi Lehyam. 

Uses

Uses of Cheriya Chinchadi Leham:
In the treatment of excessive burning sensation, chronic fever, jaundice, anemia.
It relieves bad breath problem.
It improves digestion strength.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Cheriya Chinchadi Leham:
Chincha (Sweet tamarind)(Tamarindus indica)- 48 g
One year old jaggery- 240 g
Mandura (Clax of iron)- 480 g
Bilva (Aegle marmelos)- 96 g
Vidanga (Embelica ribes)- 96 g
Kankola (Piper cubeba)- 24 g
Trikatu (Zingiber officinale, Piper longum, Piper nigrum)- 24 g each
Triphala (Embelica officinale, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica)- 24 g each
Jeeraka (Cuminum cyminum)- 24 g
Krishna jeeraka (Carum carvi)- 24 g
Twak (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)- 24 g
Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)- 24 g
Patra (Cinnamomum tamala)- 24 g
Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra)- 24 g
Rasna (Alpnia galanga)- 24 g
Jatiphala (Myristica fragrans)- 24 g

Dose, diet rules

Dosage of Cheriya Chinchadi Leham:
3-6 g, once or twice daily. Or as directed by the physician.
Adjuvant- honey or buttermilk. For the constipated it will help if this is taken in buttermilk boiled with crushed Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa).

Diet restrictions – 
Avoid Pitta increasing hot and sour items, horse gram, yams and brinjal are to be avoided.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
