Heptin Forte Syrup It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by ALOPA HERBALS pharmaceuticals, Bhuvanagiri, Bangalore. Heptin forte is the hepato-protective that stimulates, protects and regenerates the liver. 

Uses

Uses of Heptin Forte Syrup:

  • It is to be used for all liver ailments in all age groups.
  • It stimulates liver function.
  • Improves secretion of bile to help digestion in general and fat metabolism.
  • It stimulates appetite leading to good food intake and weight gain especially in the malnourished.
  • Bile stimulates peristalsis and thus prevents constipation.
  • It helps in the evacuation of gas and feces.
  • Induces diuresis and reduces oedema.

Composition

Composition of Heptin Forte Syrup:

  • Bringaraja (Eclipta alba)- 200 mg-hepatoprotective, cholegogue
  • Bhumyamalaki (Phylanthus niruri)- 50 mg- hepatoprotective, cholegogue, antiviral
  • Chitraka (Plumbago zeylanica)- 50 mg- stimulant
  • Dhanyaka (Coriandrum sativum)- 50 mg- digestive
  • Kalamegha (Andrographis panniculata)- 100 mg- hepatostimulant, cholegogue
  • Katuki (Picrorrhiza kurroa)- 25 mg- hepatostimulant, cholegogue
  • Sharapunkha (Tephrosia purpuria)- 100 mg- digestive
  • Silymarin (Silybum marianum)- 20 mg- hepatoprotective
  • Triphala (Embelica officinale, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica)- 50 mg- digestive, stimulant, antioxidant, laxative.

Indication

Indication of Heptin Forte Syrup:
In children-

  • Anorexia
  • Malnutrition
  • Growth failure
  • Acute viral hepatitis
  • Jaundice
  • Drug induced hepatotoxicity
  • Chronic constipation
  • Fatty liver.

In adults-

  • Anorexia
  • Acute viral hepatitis with or without jaundice
  • Drug induced hepatotoxicity
  • Alcohol induced hepatotoxicity
  • Chronic constipation
  • Fatty liver.

Dose, package

Dosage of Heptin Forte Syrup:

  • Adults- 2 tea spoon 3 times a day.
  • Children- 1 tea spoon 3 times a day.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
