Munaacid Tablets – Uses, Dose, Ingredients

Munaacid tablet relieves hyper-acidity and peptic ulcer naturally. It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured in Muniyal Ayurveda Pharmaceuticals.

Uses

Uses of Munaacid Tablets:

  • Effective in hyper acidity syndrome.
  • Normalizes the gastric pH value.
  • Promotes healing of peptic and duodenal ulcers.
  • Can be used as an antacid and gastro-protective.

Dose, duration of use

Dose: 2 tablets twice daily or as directed by Ayurvedic physician.

How long to take?
It can be continued for a period of 6 – 8 weeks.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

  • Yastimadhu – Licorice (Glycerrhiza glabra)– acts as anti-ulcer, anti-oxidant and cytoprotective.It is also proved to be anxiolytic providing an added advantage in the management of stress induced gastric ulcer. The studies have shown tha Glycerrhiza glabra can be used in the treatment of NSAID induced gastric ulcer as it is an inexpensive alternative to misoprostol and omeprazole.
  • Triphala (Embelica officinale, Terminalia chebula and Terminalia bellerica)– acts as laxative there by relieving constipation and flatulence. Evaluation of Triphala shown pronounced amylolitic and moderate lipolytic activity proving its efficiency for digestive problem.
  • Pippali – Long pepper (Piper longum) – acts as bio-availability enhancer and also helps to heal peptic ulcer.
  • Jeeraka – Cumin seeds (Cuminum cyminum) – acts as anti-helmenthic, anti-spasmodic and relieves gaseous distension and pain abdomen.
  • Shankha bhasma – Conch calx acts as an antacid. Its antacid activity was established by preliminary antacid test, acid neutralizing capacity test, Rosset-Rice test and Reheis test. It regulates gastric pH and provides anti-ulcer activity. It acts as gastric cytoprotective agent by modulating scavenging of free radicals.
  • Pravala bhasma provides natural calcium. It is also proved to have anti-ulcer and antacid effect.

Storage, side effects

Storage: Store in a dry cool place, in an air tight container.

Side effects of Munaacid Tablets:

  • No such side effects are there in taking Munaacid tablets.
  • It is safe in pregnancy and lactation, if taken under strict medical supervision.
