Koshta Shuddhi Tablets – Uses, Dose, Ingredients

Koshta Shuddhi Tablet is is a major breakthrough in the treatment of amoebiasis. It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured in Muniyal Ayurveda Pharmaceuticals. 

Uses

Uses of Koshta Shuddhi Tablets:

  • It is an ancient solution for amoebiasis and irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Reduces intestinal motility and hence an effective anti-diarrhoeal.
  • Relieves Entamoeba histolytica and hence very useful in chronic amoebiasis.
  • Exceptionally good remedy in chronic dysentery and severe diarrhoea.
  • Improves intestinal absorption.
  • Absorbs toxins from the alimentary canal.
  • Aids digestion by stimulating liver.
  • Useful in treating ulcerative colitis due to cytoprotective and ulcer healing action of the product.

Dose

Dose:
2 tablets thrice daily before or after food as directed by Ayurvedic physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Koshta Shuddhi Tablets:

  • Kutaja (Holerrhena antidysentrica)– acts as anti-diarrhoeal, anti-amoebial, cytoprotective and anti-ulcer.
  • Aqueous root bark extract of possesses excellent anti-inflammatory activity against both acute and chronic inflammatory models. It also acts as anti-diarrhoeal due to its anti-secretory and anti-motility effect.
  • Mustha (Cyperus rotendus)- acts as anti-diarrhoeal and anti-spasmodic. It acts as anti-oxidant.

Storage, side effects

Storage:

Store in a dry cool place, in an air tight container.

Side effects of Koshta Shuddhi Tablets:

  • Over dose may result in constipation.
  • Safe in pregnancy if used under medical supervision.
  • Safe in children also.
  • Self-medication is contraindicated.
