Femicare Forte Capsule – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Femicare Forte Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Dindayal Industries Ltd, Gwalior.  It is used in the treatment of menstrual disorders.   

Uses

Femicare Forte Capsule uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment for irregular menstrual cycle, excessive vaginal bleeding, painful periods, cervical erosion, habitual abortion, PID, Leucorrhea.

Effect on dosha

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Pitta.

Dose and duration of use

Femicare Forte Capsule Dose: 1 – 2 capsules,  2 times a day, or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

How long to take? It can be taken for upto 2 -3 months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia chebula
Daru Haridra – Tree Turmeric (stem) – Berberis aristata
30 mg of
Lodhra – Lodh tree (bark) – Symplocos racemosa
Rasot
20 mg of
Mocharasa – Extract of Bombax malabaricum
Amra – Mango – Mangifera indica – seed kernel
Musta – Nut grass (root) – Cyperus rotundus
Jiraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum
Sarpagandha – Rauvolfia serpentina
Gokshura – Small caltrops (whole plant) – Tribulus terrestris Linn.
Raktachandana – Pterocarpus santalinus
10 mg each of
Chandana – Sandalwood – Santalum album
Kiratatikta – Swertia chirata
Pradarantaka Lauha – An Ayurvedic medicine used in heavy periods – 60 mg
Madhumalini Vasanta Rasa – 30 mg
Muktashukti Pishti – Powder of Pearl Oyster – 20 mg
Kaheraba Pisti – 10 mg
Rajata Bhasma – Bhasma of Silver – 5 mg
Processed with Vasa – Malabar nut tree (root / whole plant) – Adhatoda vasica,
Doorva – Bermuda grass – Cynodon dactylon
Dhataki – Fire Flame Bush (flower) – Woodfordia fruticosa
Devadaru – Himalayan cedar (bark) – Cedrus deodara

Side effects and shelf life

Side effect: 
This medicine may not help in people with scanty menstruation, since most of the ingredients are styptic in nature. It would help in heavy periods.
This medicine should only be taken under medical supervision.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Over-dosage or taking medicine for a longer period of time, than prescribed may cause delayed menstrual cycles.
Store in a cool dry place.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time, in the prescribed dose only.

Expiry date: 5 years from the date of manufacture.
