Asthiposhak Tablets uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of old age & Menopause related Osteoporosis, osteo-arthritis, Non-healing fractures, Calcium deficiency during pregnancy & lactation, Hair Fall, Asthisousheeryajanya Sandhishoola, Premature Graying of Hair. It is a good source of natural calcium. It is a good anti inflammatory medicine.
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Useful in joint pain, teeth pain and hair fall
Bursitis,
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata.
Dose and duration of use
Asthiposhak Tablets Dose: 1-2 tablets twice or thrice a day with milk or as directed by your physician.
How long to take? It can be taken for upto 3 – 4 months, based on doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Kukkutandatvak bhasma – Egg shell Calx – 100 mg,
Asthisamhruta – Cissus quadrangularis – 100 mg,
Arjuna – Terminalia arjuna – 50 mg,
Shuddha Laksha – Laccifer lacca – 50 mg,
Amalaki – Phyllanthus emblica – Indian Gooseberry – 50 mg,
Ashwagandha – Indian Ginseng – Withania somnifera – 50 mg,
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 50 mg,
Shuddha Guggul – Commiphora mukul – 50 mg,
Bala – Sida cordifolia – 50 mg,
Babboola Kwath (decoction of Acacia arabica) – quantity sufficient.

Hello Sir. Please suggest us some good Ayurvedic medicine for the vegetarians to take care of bones/calcium deficiency. There must be medicines which don’t contain egg shells, kindly recommend any.

I see that Dhootapapeshwar’s Asthiposhak contains known carcinogens – Sodium methyl paraben and Sodium Propyl Paraben – as preservatives along with coloring agents Yellow Iron Oxide, Black iron oxide and Titanium dioxide. What’s your opinion on the consumption of these additives, doctor?
This is usually taken for a limited period of a few weeks time. So, the preservatives will not have much side effects.
Most of the tablets, syrups of Ayurveda contains parabens, in permissible limits.
I suffered insomnia after taking asthiposhak. Initially I experienced disturbed sleep occasionally. But then sleeplessness whole night. I was okay when discontinued this tablet.
