For How many days Kabz Har be taken?
Dr JV Hebbar:
Kabz Har is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine from Baidyanath, used for the treatment of constipation. It contains senna leaves, trivrit, kala Namak, ginger etc. ingredients. It is safe to take it for 2 – 3 months, based on your doctor’s advice.

In constipation, addressing the root cause, with diet, Ayurvedic therapies, medicines and lifestyle changes give good results. Simply relying on one medicine is not good for the long term. Over a period of time, the body and mind may become totally dependent on the medicine for smooth bowel evacuation.
For people with extremely chronic constipation, who get relief with Ayurvedic medicines, it is a good idea to change the medicines once in a while. This way, the patient will not get addicted to one particular medicine.
