Brihat Sarva Jwarahar Lauh – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Brihat Sarva Jwarahar Lauh is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form, used in the treatment of fever. This medicine should only be taken under strict medical supervision. This medicine is most commonly used in north Indian Ayurvedic practice.

Uses and effect on dosha

Brihat Sarva Jwarahar Lauh Uses: It is used in the Ayurvedic treatment of all types of fever, anemia, indigestion, splenomegaly, cough, intermittent fever, typhoid, injuries.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata, Pitta, Kapha

Dose and duration of use

Brihat Sarva Jwarahara Lauh dosage:
125 mg in the morning and evening, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor. It is advised along with long pepper and jaggery
It is advised to take rice with buttermilk while taking this medicine.

How long to use: It is administered for a period of 1 month.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

10 g fine powder of each of
Shuddha Parada – Herbal purified Mercury
Shuddha Gandhaka – Herbal purified Sulphur
Tamra Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Copper
Abhraka Bhasma – Purified and processed Mica
Makshika Bhasma – Bhasma of Copper-Iron Pyrite
Swarna Bhasma – Bhasma of Gold
Rajata Bhasma – Bhasma of Silver
Shuddha Haratala – Purified and processed Orpiment (Arsenic tri sulphide)
Loha Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Iron
Quantity sufficient of Juice extract of following for grinding with each liquid for 7 times.
Karavella – Bitter gourd – Momordia charantia
Dashamoola kashaya
Parpata Kashaya
Triphala Kashaya
Guduchi – Indian Tinospora (stem) – Tinospora cordifolia
Nagavalli – Betel leaves – Piper betel
Kakamachi – Solanum nigrum
Nirgundi – Vitex negundo
Punarnava – Spreading Hogweed – Boerhaavia diffusa
Ardraka – Ginger Rhizome – Zingiber officinalis

Brihat Sarva Jwarahar Loh  side effects:

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Use this medicine only till the prescribed time and in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation and in children.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
