Sulavajrini Vati – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients And Side Effects

Sulavajrini Vati is a tablet, used in Ayurvedic treatment of gastric conditions, liver and spleen disorders etc. It should only be used under strict medical supervision. 

Uses

Sulavajrini Vati uses: It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of dyspepsia, low digestion power, diarrhea and gastro enteritis and abdominal colic, liver and spleen related disorders, ascites, Rheumatoid arthritis, Dysphagia, fistula in ano.
Bursitis,  
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains

Effect On Dosha, Dosage

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Kapha, improves Pitta.

Sulavajrini Vatika dosage: 25 mg -1 – 2 times a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

How long to use? 

It can be used for a period of  1 – 2 months.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side Effects

Shulavajrini Vati side effects: 

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Use this medicine only till the prescribed time and in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation and in children.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Sulavajrini Vatika ingredients, how to make:
24 g fine powder of each of
Shuddha Parada – Herbal purified Mercury
Shuddha Gandhaka – Herbal purified Sulphur
Loha Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Iron
12 g fine powder of each of
Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia chebula
Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia bellirica
Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis Gaertn.
Ramatha – Asa foetida
Shulva Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Copper
Shati – Curcuma zeodaria / Hedychium spicatum
Shunti – Ginger Rhizome – Zingiber officinalis
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum
Shuddha Tankana – Purified Borax
Patra – Cinnamomum tamala
Twak – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum
Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum
Talisa Patra – leaves of Abies webbiana
Jatiphala – Nutmeg (fruit) – Myristica fragrans
Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum
yavani – Trachyspermum ammi
Jiraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum
Dhanyaka – Coriander – Coriandrum sativum
Chagidugdha – Goat milk  Quantity Sufficient.

The fine powder of above ingredients is made into paset with goat milk, triturated well and then pills are prepared, dried.

Expiry date: Five years from the date of manufacture. Once after opening the container, it is better to empty it before an year.
