Chirayu Liniment: Benefits, How To Use, Ingredients, Side Effects

Chirayu Liniment is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Chirayu Pharmaceuticals. It is an Ayurvedic formulation prepared by special process from time tested Ayurvedic extracts to treat rheumatic disorders. 

Chirayu Liniment is the special oil which contains effective Ayurvedic medicines with fresh juices of garlic and onion, which have proven effects on all types of aches and pains.

Ingredients of Chirayu Liniment:
Gandhapura taila [Gaultheria fragrantissima] – 5 mg – Oil of wintergreen
Sarala/Turpentine oil [Pinus roxburghii] – 10 mg – Turpentine oil
Karpoora [Cinnamomum camphora] – 3.5 mg – Camphor
Lashuna [Allium sativum] – 0.5 mg – Garlic – Garlic is anti aging spice. It is hot, cleansing, cardiac tonic, digestive, good for eyes, improves hair strength and quality, useful in cough, asthma etc. But needs some precautions while administering it.
Palandu [Allium sepa] – 1 mg – Onion – relieves pain and inflammation on external application
Tila taila [Sesamum indicum] – 80 mg – sesame oil

Indication of Chirayu Liniment:
Back ache, knee pain, pain in neck and other joints of body.
It is useful in muscular pains, stretching of muscles and tendons.
Pain due to vata vyadhi
Sciatica
Sprains and blunt injuries
Pain and burning caused by insect and bee sting.

Direction for use of Chirayu Liniment:
Apply the liniment at the site of pain and rub gently to penetrate the medicine.
Apply a woolen cloth or flannel to keep the part warm in winters.
Apply 2-3 times a day, as required.

Side effects of Chirayu Liniment:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
Do not leave the bottle open, the liniment will evaporate.
This product is meant only for external application
Avoid accidental exposure to eyes. In case of eye contact, wash eyes thoroughly with cold water for 3 – 5 minutes. If burning sensation, eye irritation and redness persists, consult an eye specialist.
Avoid accidental oral intake.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
