Calcurosin Capsule: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Calcurosin Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by BAN Labs Ltd. It is useful in the treatment of urinary calculi. It is the herbal lithotryptic and an alkaliser.

When surgery or lithotripsy is delayed in patients with diabetes, hypertension or anaemia and in case of recurrent infection after surgery, to overcome such condition an ideal drug of choice is Calcurosin Capsule. It is a clinically proven lithotryptic, alkaliser and a diuretic, helps in complete removal of renal calculi and prevents from further recurrence.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Calcurosin Capsule:
Each capsule contains –
Chandraprabha Vati  – 140 mg – Chandraprabha Vati is a tablet, used in Ayurvedic treatment of diabetes, diseases of urinary track, and many other disease conditions. It is widely used in Ayurvedic practice, across India.
Eladi choorna – 100 mg
Trivikrama rasa – 40 mg – Trivikram Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form, used in treatment of urinary calculi. This medicine is most commonly used in north Indian Ayurvedic practice.
Tankana kshara – 40 mg
Hajrool yahood bhasma – 80 mg

Indication

Indication of Calcurosin Capsule:
Urinary tract infection
Burning micturition
Haematuria

Dose, duration of use

Dosage of Calcurosin Capsule:
Adults – 1-2 capsules thrice a day, or as directed by the physician.
Children – 1 capsule thrice a day, or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
It can be safely used for a period of 2 – 3 months time, with gradual decrease in dosage.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Use this medicine only till the prescribed time and in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation and in children.
Over-dosage may cause gastritis, heart burn symptoms in people with sensitive stomach.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
