Calciferon Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Akshay Pharmaceuticals. It is a natural calcium supplement in cases of osteoporosis, arthritis etc.

Ingredients of Calciferon Tablet:
Each coated tablet contains –
Mukta shukti pisti – 150 mg – Mukta Shukti Pishti is an Ayurvedic product prepared from pearl oyster shell. It is a good source of calcium. Its fine powder form (Pishti) is used in Ayurvedic treatment of gastritis, abdominal pain and respiratory conditions.
Tapyadi yoga – 150 mg
Mandura bhasma – 50 mg
Kukkutandatwak bhasma – 25 mg
Shankha bhasma – 25 mg
Micronized and potentised with Amalaki [Embelica officinalis] – 100 mg
Indication
Indication of Calciferon Tablet:
Post-menopausal syndrome
Deficiency of calcium and iron.
Osteoporosis
Anaemia
Osteoarthritis
Fractures
Parathormone imbalance
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis,
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain
Dose
Dosage of Calciferon Tablet:
2 tablets twice a day and a maintenance dose of 1 tablet thrice a day, or as directed by your Ayurvedic doctor.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
