Arthrodol Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Arthrodol Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Dr. Pralep’s Pharmaceuticals. It is an innovative management for musculo-skeletal disorders. 

The conventional therapy with NSAIDs generally does not prevent degradation of collagen and the ground substance matrix. NSAIDs may cause many side effects ex:- upper and lower GI complications like ulcers, haemorrhage, hepato-toxicity and habit formation. Some of these drugs can cause broncho-spasm and precipitate bronchial asthma. Arthrodolon the other hand tackles the main problem of preventing excessive production of collagenase and has an immuno-modulatory action apart from anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions.

Ingredients of Arthrodol Tablet:
Each tablet contains-

  • Rasna [Vanda roxburghii] – 15 mg
  • Vidanga [Embelica ribes] – 15 mg
  • Guggulu [Commiphora mukul] – 100 mg
  • Musta [Cyperus rotendus] – 10 mg
  • Vibhitaki [Terminalia bellerica] – 10 mg
  • Chitraka [Plumbago zeylanica] – 10 mg
  • Guduchi [Tinospora cordifolia] – 20 mg
  • Maricha [Piper nigrum] – 20 mg
  • Punarnava [Boerhaavia diffusa] – 40 mg
  • Haritaki [Terminalia chebula] – 25 mg
  • Amalaki [Embelica officinalis] – 50 mg
  • Shunti [Zingiber officinale] – 30 m g
  • Pippali [Piper longum] – 15 mg
  • Shallaki [Boswelia serrata] – 90 mg
  • Mineral pitch – 80 mg

Indication

Indication of Arthrodol Tablet:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteo arthritis
  • Neuralgia
  • Sciatica
  • Myalgia
  • Spondylosis
  • Spondylitis
  • Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
    Bursitis,  
  • Bursitis trochanterica,
  • Shoulder dislocation pain

Dose, duration of use

Dosage of Arthrodol Tablet:
1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day after food, or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
It can be safely used for a period of 2 – 3 months time, with gradual decrease in dosage.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects of Arthrodol Tablet:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
Over-dosage may cause gastritis, heart burn symptoms in people with sensitive stomach.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Shelf life or expiration date: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
