Mehanthak Kashayam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Mehanthak Kashayam is used in the treatment of Diabetes and all related complaints like Cardio-vascular disorder, Renal failure, Weakness, Excessive thirst, Constipation etc. It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Everest Ayurveda pharma, Thrissur, Kerala.


Indication of Mehanthak kashayam:
Diabetes and all related complaints like Cardio-vascular disorder, Renal failure, Weakness, Excessive thirst, Constipation etc.

Ingredients of Mehanthak Kashayam:
Each 10 ml is prepared out of-
Jambu (Syzygium cumini)- 6 g
Aragwadha (Cassia fistula)- 1.2 g
Pathya (Terminalia chebula)- 1.2 g
Nyagrodha (Ficus racemosa)- 1.2 g
Bala (Sida cordifolia)- 1.2 g
Khadira (Acacia catechu)- 1.2 g
Dhatri (Embelica officinale)- 1.2 g
Yashti (Glycyrrhiza glabra)- 1.2 g
Darvi (Berberis aristata)- 1.2 g
Twak (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)- 1.2 g
Jeeraka (Cuminum cyminum)- 1.2 g
Rajani (Curcuma longa)- 1.2 g
Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)- 1.2 g
Musta (Cyperus rotendus)- 1.2 g
Usira (Vetiveria zizanioides)- 1.2 g
Aksha (Terminalia bellerica)- 1.2 g

Dosage of Mehanthak Kashayam:
10-25 ml with equal quantity of boiled and cooled water twice or thrice daily in empty stomach. Or as directed by the physician

Side effects of Mehanthak Kashayam:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
Over dosage may cause severe gastritis
Should be taken under medical supervision

Bottle of 200 ml & 450 ml.
