Narayana gulam is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal paste/jam form. It is used for the treatment of asthma, cold, cough, indigestion etc.

Uses

Uses of Narayanagulam:
It is useful in the treatment of Asthma, cold, cough, indigestion, anorexia, dyspepsia, gastritis.
It corrects bowel movements.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Narayana gulam:
Each 10 gm consists of-
Pitikamula – 13.158 g
Rajani (Curcuma longa)- 8.421 ml
Dhatri (Embelica officinale)- 8.421 ml
Guda (Jaggery)- 4.211 g
Sharkara (Sugar)- 2.105 g
Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)- 0.066 g
Lavanga (Syzygium aromaticum)- 0.066 g
Patra (Cinnamomum tamala) – 0.066 g
Amra (Magnifera indica)- 0.132 g
Kesara (Crocos sativus)- 0.132 g
Vishwa (Zingiber officinale)- 0.132 g
Tuka (Cucuma angustifolia)- 0.263 g
Madhuka (Gluycyrrhiza glabra)- 0.263 g

Dose

Dosage of Narayana gulam: 5 – 10 grams, once or twice a day after food or as advised by Ayurvedic doctor.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects, shelf life

Side effects:
It is best to be avoided in diabetic patients, since it contains sugar and jaggery.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
