Liverson Syrup – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Liverson Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Ajmera Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. Indore. It is used in the treatment of jaundice, splenomegaly etc. 

Uses

Liverson Syrup uses:
It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Splenomegaly, Jaundice, Early stages of liver cirrhosis, Infantile liver disorders, anorexia, constipation, indigestion and flatulence.

Effect on dosha

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Pitta and Vata.

Dose and duration of use

Liverson Syrup Dose:
Adults: 2 teaspoonful, two times a day, before or after food as directed by physician.
Children: half to 1 teaspoonful, once or twice a day, before or after food as directed by physician.

How long to take? 
It can be taken for upto 1 – 2 months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Sharapunkha – Tephrosia purpurea – 40 mg
Swarnakshiri – Argemone Mexicana – 20 mg
Bhringaraja – Eclipta alba – 20 mg
Gokshura – Small caltrops (whole plant) – Tribulus terrestris – 40 mg
Trianthema monogyna – 20 mg
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa – 20 mg
Punarnava – Spreading Hogweed (spreading hogweed) – Boerhaavia diffusa – 20 mg
Brihati – Indian Nightshade (root) – Solanum nigrum – 20 mg
Shigru – Drum Stick – Moringa oliefera – 20 mg
Dhanyaka – Coriander – Coriandrum sativum – 40 mg
Guduchi – Indian Tinospora (stem) – Tinospora cordifolia – 20 mg
Kiratatikta – Andrographis paniculata – 20 mg
Vidanga – False black pepper (fruit) – Embelia ribes – 20 mg
Tulasi – Holy Basil – Ocimum sanctum – 20 mg
Butea frondosa  – seed – 20 mg
Shunti – Ginger (rhizome) – Zingiber officinalis – 20 mg
Smilax china – 20 mg
Kumaryasava no. 3 – 0.25 ml – a traditional Ayurvedic medicine.

Side effects and precautions

Side effects and precautions: 
This product should be taken only under strict medical supervision.
Over-dosage or taking medicine for a longer period of time, than prescribed may cause hyperacidity.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
Special care is required while prescribing this medicine for children, pregnant and lactating mothers.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time, in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
