Urshoset Granules is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Shankar Pharmacy, Ernakulam, Kerala. It is used in the treatment of piles and constipation.
Uses and effect on dosha
Urshoset Granules uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Bleeding and non bleeding types of piles and constipation.
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Pitta.
Dose and duration of use
Rajamalt Granules Dose: 1 teaspoonful two times a day, with warm water, before or after food, as directed by physician.
How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1 – 2 month, based on doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Chitraka – Lead Wort (root) – Plumbago zeylanica – 25 g
Surana – Wild Yam – Amorphophallus campanulatus – 25 g
Trivrit – Operculina turpethum – 25 g
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa – 25 g
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – 10 g
Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia chebula – 10 g
Shunti – Ginger Rhizome – Zingiber officinalis – 10 g
Jaggery – 25 g
Side effects and shelf life
Side effect:
People with diabetes, should avoid this product, since it contains jaggery.
Children, Pregnant and lactating mothers should take this product only under medical supervision.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Over-dosage or taking medicine for a longer period of time, than prescribed may cause twitching abdominal pain and diarrhoea.
Store in a cool dry place.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time, in the prescribed dose only.
Expiry date: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
