Shilapravang Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited, Mumbai, India. It is used in the treatment of ED, male infertility etc. 

Uses and effect on dosha

Shilapravang Special Tablet uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Oligospermia, Premature ejaculation, Nocturnal emission, Erectile dysfunction, Debility, fatigue, Male infertility due to physiological causes.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and kapha.

Dose and duration of use

Shilapravang Special Tablet Dose: 1 to 2 tablets 2 times a day with milk or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1 -2 months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Is it used in women?
Usually it is not used in women.

Each tablet contains –
Shuddha Shilajit – Asphaltum punjabinum – 40 mg,
Pravala Bhasma – Bhasma (Calx) of Coral – 20 mg,
Vanga Bhasma– Tin Calx – 20 mg,
Suvarnamakshik Bhasma – Makshika Bhasma – Bhasma of Copper-Iron Pyrite 20 mg,
Guduchi Satva – Aqueous extract of Guduchi – Indian Tinospora (stem) – Tinospora cordifolia – 20 mg,
Ashwagandha – Winter cherry/ Indian Ginseng (root) – Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal. – 60 mg,
Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus root – 15 mg,
Gokshur – Small caltrops (whole plant) – Tribulus terrestris Linn. – 15 mg,
Bala – Country mallow (root) – Sida cordifolia – 15 mg,
Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis Gaertn. – 10 mg,
Akarkarabha – Anacyclus pyrethrum – 10 mg,
Jatiphala – Nutmeg (fruit) – Myristica fragrans – 5 mg,
Karpoora – Camphor – Cinnamomum camphora – 5 mg,
Latakasturi beej – Hibiscus abelmoschus Linn. 20 mg,
Kraunchbeej – Kapikacchu – Velvet Bean (seed) – Mucuna pruriens – 90 mg,
Makardhwaj – 10 mg – An Ayurvedic medicine with Purified Mercury, Sulphur and Gold Bhasma.
Suvarna Bhasma –Swarna Bhasma – Bhasma of Gold – 1 mg,
Mouktik Pishti – Powder of Pearl – 1 mg

Side effects and shelf life

Side effect: 
Makaradhwaj, an ingredient of this medicine contains Mercury in a very minute quantity. Hence this medicine should only be taken under strict medical supervision.
Children, Pregnant and lactating mothers should take this product only under medical supervision.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Over-dosage or taking medicine for a longer period of time, than prescribed may lead to side effects like tremors and such other neurological symptoms.
Store in a cool dry place.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time, in the prescribed dose only.

Expiry date:  5 years from the date of manufacture.

Can it be used along with Shankhapushpi?
Both together can be slightly Pitta increasing. If your doctor has prescribed it, then it can be taken together.

    I have weakness in my bones and muscles .My arm is very thin and some time when I push some thing or throw something a pian starts in my joints of arm. I also want to tell you that 4 years ago I was used heavy dumbbells in gym without good diet. Also I am overmasturbator which may be a also one reason. So please suggest me good medicine.

  4. Hi doctor . Is there any ayurvedic medicine that promote the growth of testicle that damaged because of heat generated from varicocele.
