Lemocid Oral Liquid – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Lemocid oral liquid is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, used in the treatment of gastric complaints. It is manufactured by Varuna Herbo Biotec Pvt. Ltd. Varanasi, UP, India.  

Uses and effect on dosha

Lemocid Oral liquid uses: It provides quick relief in dyspepsia, flatulence, epigastric pain, heartburn.

Effect on Tridosha – It balances Pitta and Vata.

Ingredients

Ingredients: 
Each 5ml lemocid contains following.
Sodil chloridum – 250mg.
Unaqua sodil chloridum – 250mg.
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 50mg,
Zingiber officinale – Ginger – 500mg,
Piper longum – 125mg,
Pudina – Mentha arvensis – 75mg,
Cardamom – Elettaria Cardamomum – 50mg,
Flavoured Syrup – quantity sufficient.

Dose and duration of use

Dosage:
As Appetizer : 1-2 Teaspoonful before meals.
As Digestive 1-2 teaspoonful after meals.

How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1- 2 months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects and package

Side effects and precautions:
In people who are sensitive to pepper and ginger, it may worsen gastritis.
Lemocid should be taken with caution by people on salt/sodium restricted diet.
People with high BP should take this medicine, only if the doctor advices, because it contains salt ingredient.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
