Ajicid Syrup – Benefits, dosage, Ingredients, Side effects

Ajicid Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, used in treatment of hyperacidity, flatulence etc. It is manufactured by Ajmera Pharmaceuticals Private Limited, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. 

Uses

Ajicid Syrup Uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Hyper-acidity, Heartburn, Dyspepsia, Flatulence, Gastric Ulcer.

Dose and duration of use

Dose: 

adults : 1 -2 Teaspoonful 3 times a day.
Children : 1/2 Teaspoon 3 times a day.

How long to take? 

It can be taken for upto 1- 2 months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 200 mg
Chitrakamoola – Lead Wort (root) – Plumbago zeylanica – 200 mg
Vidanga – False black pepper – Embelia ribes – 200 mg
Triphala –
• Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia chebula
• Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia bellirica
• Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis Gaertn.

Trikatu – Pepper, Long Pepper, Ginger – 120 mg each
Shatapushpa – Indian Dill – Anethum sowa – 50 mg
Ajamoda – Ajowan (fruit) – Trachyspermum roxburghianum – 100 mg
Pudina – Mentha arvenis – 100 mg
Vacha – Acorus calamus – 30 mg
Kushta – Saussurea lappa – 30 mg
Jatamamsi – Nardostachys jatamansi 20 mg,
Shuddha suhaga – Borax – 10 mg
Krishna lavana – Saindhava Lavana – Black salt – 10 mg
Sarjikshara – 10 mg,
Yava Kshara – Kshara of Barley – Hordeum vulgare – 5 mg
Karpura – Camphor – Cinnamomum camphora – 0.05 g
Peppermint taila – Menthol

Side effects

Side effects and precautions: There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, diabetic and high BP patients should take this medicine only under medical supervision.
