Jawahar Mohra Bhasma – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Jawahar Mohra Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine in powder form, used in the treatment of heart diseases, cough, asthma, etc.

Jawahar Mohra Bhasma uses: 

  • It acts as cardiac tonic, Pitta related disorders, heart burn, headache and gastro enteritis.
  • It is also used in asthma, bleeding disorders and hemorrhoids.

Effect on Tridosha: Balances  Pitta.

Jaharmohra Bhasma Dosage: 

  • 250 mg, once or twice daily, before or after food, or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

How long to use: It can be used upto 1- 2 month, based on doctor’s advice.

Jawahar Mohra Bhasm Side effects:  
It is best to take this medicine only under medical supervision, especially for children, pregnant and lactating mothers.
Take this medicine only in prescribed dosage for particular time period only.
Store in a cool dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Jahar Mohra Bhasma Ingredients, How To make? 

Jahar Mohra Churna – (Serpentine – Magnesium silicate)

It is ground with decoction of Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) and Vata ( Ficus bengalensis)  for 2 – 3 times, and cakes are made, subjected to 400 – 500 degree celsius for 3 – 4 hours in closed container to obtain Bhasma (Calx).
