Mushikadi Taila Uses:
- It is used in the treatment of rectal and vaginal prolapse. It is smeared over the prolapsed organ and placed properly. it is repeated till the prolapse is reversed.
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and kapha.
Mushikadya Taila – how to use: It is used for external application.
How long to use: It can be used upto 3 – 4 months based on doctor’s prescription.
Side Effects
There are no known side effect of this oil on external application.

Mushikadi Oil ingredients, how to make:
Bilva – Bael (root) – Aegle marmelos – 20 g
Shyonaka – Oroxylum indicum – 20 g
Gambhari – Coomb Teak (root) – Gmelina arborea – 20 g
Patala – Trumpet (root) – Stereospermum suaveolens – 20 g
Agnimantha – Premna corymbosa (Burm.f) Merr – 20 g
Mushika mamsa – rat – without intestine – 10 g
Ksheera – Cow milk – 320 ml, boiled and reduced to 160 ml
Taila – Sesame oil – Sesamum indicum – 768 ml – 40 mml
10 g each of following made into paste
Devadaru – Himalayan cedar (bark) – Cedrus deodara
Nata – Indian valerian (root) – Valeriana wallichi
Kushta – Saussurea lappa
Bilva – Bael (root) – Aegle marmelos
Shyonaka – Oroxylum indicum
Gambhari – Coomb Teak (root) – Gmelina arborea
Patala – Trumpet (root) – Stereospermum suaveolens
Agnimantha – Premna corymbosa (Burm.f) Merr
Shalaparni – Desmodium gangeticum
Prishnaparni
Brihati – Indian Nightshade (root) – Solanum indicum
Kantakari – Yellow berried nightshade (whole plant) – Solanum xanthcarpum
Gokshura – Small caltrops (whole plant) – Tribulus terrestris Linn.
Bala – Country mallow (root) – Sida cordifolia
Atibala – Abutilon indicum
All the ingredients are mixed and boiled till total moisture is lost from the oil, filtered.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
During pregnancy, lactation
If
you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can
continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy,
better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare
cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult
your doctor for the right advice.
Can
this product be applied after steam therapy?
No.
Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic
principles.
