Kshara Thailam Uses:
It is used in ear conditions such as itching, pus, infection, otitis, tinnitus, earache and worms etc.
Best for deafness.
Good application in facial and dental ailments.
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Kapha.
Method Of Usage
It is used as ear drops. – 3 – 5 drops into each ear.
May be dropped in the ear with bearable warmth or syringed or kept filled.
How long to use: It can be used upto 3 – 6 months based on doctor’s prescription.
Syringe and wipe the ear well before using the medicine.
Side Effects
There are no known side effects with this oil on external application. However, its use should only be done under medical supervision.

Paste prepared from 12 g fine powder of each of
Mulaka – Radish – Raphanus sativus (Kshara)
Svarjika Kshara
Yava Kshara – Kshara of Barley – Hordeum vulgare
Vida Lavana – Vida salt
Samudra Lavana – Common salt
Romaka Lavana
Saindhava Lavana – Rock salt
Sauvarchala Lavana – Sochal salt
Hingu – Asa foetida
Shigru – Moringa oleifera
Mahaushadha – Ginger – Zingiber officinalis
Devadaru – Himalayan cedar (bark) – Cedrus deodara
Vacha – Acorus calamus
Kushta – Saussurea lappa
Rasanjana – Aqueous extract of Berberis aristata
Shatapushpa – Indian Dill – Anethum sowa
Granthika – Long pepper (Root) – Piper longum
Musta – Nut grass (root) – Cyperus rotundus
Juice extract of Kadali – Banana stem – Musa paradisiaca – 3.072 liters
Beejapoora Swarasa – Lemon juice extract – 3.072 liters
Madhu Shukta – Fermented sweet preparation – 3.072 liters
All the ingredients are mixed and boiled till total moisture is lost from the oil, filtered.
Reference and Shelf Life
Reference: Sharangdhara Samhita Madhyamakhanda 9/174 – 177, Bhaishajyaratnavali.
Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
During pregnancy, lactation
If
you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can
continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy,
better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare
cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult
your doctor for the right advice.
Can
this product be applied after steam therapy?
No.
Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic
principles.

Sir i have a problem of ear discharge from last 20 years. Now a days i am under treatment of ENT specialist but doctor said that i have lost 80% of hearing ability. Is kshar taila suitable for me?
