Shothaghna Lepa – Benefits, How To Use, Ingredients, Side Effects

Shothaghna Lepa Churna is an Ayurvedic medicine, in herbal paste form. It is used for external application to treat edema and inflammation. 

Benefits

 It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of edema and inflammation, as in blunt injury. It is made into paste along with fermented gruel and applied locally.

Effect on Tridosha – Calms Pitta and Kapha

Side Effects

This medicine should strictly be used under medical supervision.

Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a dry place.

Ingredients

10 g of each of

Punarnava – Spreading Hogweed (spreading hogweed) – Boerhaavia diffusa

Devadaru – Himalayan Cedar (bark / heart wood) – Cedrus deodara

Shunti – Ginger (rhizome) – Zingiber officinalis

Siddhartha – Brassica juncea

Shigru – Drum Stick – Moringa oliefera

Made into paste with Aranala – Fermented gruel.

punarnavāṃ dāru śuṇṭhīṃ siddhārthaṃ śigrumeva ca |
piṣṭvā caivāranālena pralepa: sarvaśothajit ||
