Kamdudha Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine, with herbal and mineral ingredients, in tablet form. It is used in treating gastritis and bleeding diseases. This medicine is used more in North Indian Ayurvedic treatment method and should only be taken strictly under medical supervision.
Benefits
- It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of Gastritis, diarrhea with blood discharge and diabetes.
- It is used to treat female complaints such as leucorrhea, heavy menstrual bleeding.
It is also known as Kamdudha Rasa plain. This is because, there is another Kamadugha rasa with Mukta bhasma.
Indications
Skin disorders with bleeding, secretions, burning sensation (Pitta symptoms).
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Pitta
Dosage
125 mg – 1 – 2 tablets once or twice a day before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
In female conditions, it is given along with cow milk or rice washed water.
In Pitta imbalance, it is given along with sugar and cow milk.
In diabetes, it is given along with long pepper.
In Bleeding disorders, it is given along with Durva svarasa (Cynodon dactylon)
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

never mix ghee and honey in equal parts
As per the commentary on Ashtanga Hrudayam, on wrong food combinations, it is only true when only when ghee and honey are used. It does not apply to combinations where other ingredients are used.

I have hyperacidity. This problem is there since 4 years. I take allopathicumedicine for 1-2 months. Then acidity reduces. But again after 8-9 months it reappears. I tried few OTC ayurvedic medicines from zandu and baidhynath. It didnt help me.The acidity(heart burn) increases by evening. I also have digestion problem.
Please suggest medication.

1. Drink warm water freely.
2. Avoid salt, oil, pickles, curd, fried foods, sour foods like tamarind, etc., all of which heat the body.
3. Avipattikara choorna relieves all the agonising symptoms caused by acidity. This powder can be taken in a dose of 3 to 6 grams with water before and during the meal.
4. Coconut water is exceptionally good is this condition.
5. Amla powder two times a day
6. Regular chewing of half a teaspoon of fennel seeds after food is good for digestion and gastritis.

I am having migraine problem and off late started experiencing mild dizziness or some discomfort in head even without headache. One doctor suggested Kamdudh ras tablet. I started the tablets and left it for a while (one month). I did some life style changes like everyday walk etc. and more or less came out of the dizziness issue. But after a month or so again the headache symptoms started but this time without dizziness. I restarted kamdudh ras again to avoid the headache symptioms as doc told it is very good for migraine treatment. With this headache frequency reduced but still that mild feel of dizziness etc is there. Is mild dizziness or sudden feel of rush in head caused by kamdudh ras tablet?
Hi, in your case, the dizziness is probably an associated symptom of migraine. I have not seen any patient complaining dizziness after taking Kamdudha ras tablet.
