    • Hello Madam,
Pathyapunarnavadi Kashyam is used in the management of edema whereas Rasnairandadi kashayam helps to relieve pain and swelling and it relaxes muscles and relieves inflammation
And is not helpful in weight reduction.

  6. Dear Doctor,

An ayurvedic doctor prescribed this medicine for me for hair loss and I have been taking it for 4 months (15 ml dose twice a day but I only take it once a day). My hair fall has not reduced and I am starting to think this kashayam makes my body very hot. I used to have acne prone skin and it subsided for over a year but I’m getting pimples on my face again. Should I stop taking this kashayam? Is this kashayam even used to treat hair fall?

    Thank you.

  12. Do not take risk with Punarnavadi Kwatham. Let her continue with Allopathic medicines, at least for 3 months time. Later, consult an Ayurveda doctor and then you can think about alternatives.

  19. Hello Dr,

I am getting a herbal coarse powder that has:
Punarnava, Devdar, Harida, Katuki, Haritaki, Nim, Nagarmoth, Sunthi (Ginger), Guduchi, and Patol (Tricosanthes dioica) . All 10 ingredients are mixed in equal proportion of 10% each.

Could it have the same benefits as Punarnavadi Kashayam? They say to make it as Kwath in home.

Does it assist in reducing gallstones and kidney stones?
