Madhusnuhi Rasayanam Uses, Dose, Side Effects, Ingredients

Madhusnuhi Rasayanam is a highly effective Ayurvedic medicine. Its formulation is based on Kerala Ayurveda practice. It is used for a wide range of disease conditions. It is also known as Madhusnuhi Rasayana.

Uses

It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of skin diseases like eczema, millia, psoriasis, diabetic carbuncles, fistula, piles, tumors, goiter, itching, rheumatoid arthritis and non healing wounds.

Dose

6 – 12 grams once or twice a day, after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
Dosage for children below 5 years of age – 1 – 2 grams, once or twice a day, along with a teaspoon of honey or warm water / milk.
Dosage for children between 5 – 12 years of age – 5 grams once or twice a day along with a teaspoon of honey or warm water / milk.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects

  • There are no known side effects of this medicine.
  • However, in higher doses, it might cause stomach irritation.
  • It should be taken strictly under medical supervision.
  • Extra precaution is required while administering this to pregnant and lactating mothers and children.
  • Precaution is required, if this medicine is administered to diabetic patients.

Method of Preparation

Sugar syrup is prepared by heating water added with sugar till it dissolves in water. Filter, add Ghee and fine powders of ingredients from Pepper to Nagakeshar mix well. Heating is continued till it forms semisolid consistency. Then rest of the ingredients are added and mixed well. Honey is added once the mixture cools. It is packed in tightly closed container.

Shelf life

3 years from the date of manufacturing. Once the bottle is opened, it is best to finish it within 4 – 5 months of time.

Indication

Cheriya Madhusnuhi Rasayanam is used for:
Skin diseases, like eczema, psoriasis.
Diabetic carbuncles, fistula, piles, tumors, goiter, itching.
Arthritis and non healing ulcers.

Valiya Madhusnuhi Rasayanam is used for:
Effective against all chronic skin diseases,
non healings ulcers, fistulas,
scabies and visarpa.
Improves digestion and appetite,
cleanses and nourishes all tissues.
This is good in diabetes and vaginal diseases.

    i was taking mahathikthakam kashayam for eczema like condition, for the past 5 months, then madhusnuyi rasayanam and gulguluthikthaka khritham. It has not healed yet. so doc gave the kashayam again, still not healed. what should i do now? take more rasayanam?

Initially I used valiya madhusnuhi rasayanam as per the doctor advise.After completion of this doctor asked me to use cheriya madhusnuhi rasayanam.Started using this within a week gout problem started.Again doctor recommended the earlier one.I have palms itching both hands and legs.Problems still not resolved.Please suggest what should I do?
