  2. Since one has to be careful with taking iron supplements, here are a few suggestions to improve iron:

Beet soup (it should show results within 3-4 weeks).
Juice of: beet, amla and spinach
    Apple, or apple juice.
Dates are excellent for iron. Can be soaked in water (along with figs…), and boiled in milk in morning.
And leafy vegetables like spinach for sure.
I also read that Ashwagandha has iron – please verify this information though.

    • Hi, Loha (Iron) used in this medicine helps to correct fat metabolism. (in Ayurvedic terms, correction of Medo Dhatu Agni). Also, Musta, Triphala, Vidanga, which are ingredients of this medicine are also widely used in many anti obesity Ayurveda products. So, it helps.
Whether it suits you or not? – There are good chances. But please consult your Ayurveda doctor in person.

  4. Hi doctor, I m taking lohasav for last 2-3months as m anaemic and due to my periods delayed.. But last one week m facing problem of vomitings, whatever I eat it comes out immediately. I don’t know why. I have consult a Gernal physician nd told him about lohasav he advised me not to continue it, he said it might b a reason of kidney failure later on. I m scared of his statement. Pls guide me honestly about it.

    • The vomiting problem may not be directly related to Vomiting. It is such a shame that many allopathic doctors blindly declare that Ayurvedic medicines will cause kidney failure without knowing the facts. Lohasava does not cause kidney.
